Nurse Napoleon

Mary Vernon's story is about her time at Rockland State Hospital. She arrived in 1941 to do her three months of psychiatric specialty training. At the time part of the hospital had been taken over by Camp Shanks, the largest embarkation camp for troops going overseas during World War II.
