Although Vermontales began as a Multimedia project at CCV last semester, I am increasingly motivated to bring you stories from my community. My assignment was to create a podcast consisting of three episodes. I decided to highlight seniors in my town. The stories they told are fascinating. They speak of their early days growing up here, much as my brother, sister, and I have years later. Russell’s father ran the first ski tow in the country, giving Russell witness to the birth of the modern ski industry in 1934. Sixty years later the Thayer kids were joyously partaking. This project gives me the opportunity to know what was here, see what is here, and imagine what will be here. I hope you will find these Vermont tales interesting. They are stories from home.

Max These are so enjoyable-I’d love to met these characters! They certainly each tell an entertaining story & give a good feel for times past. You have done an excellent job in setting these up, and have a great voice for the introductions. Keep up the good work! Judy
